ACUPUNCTURE THERAPY
Part of Our Mind-Body Wellness Program
Acupuncture is a time-honored therapy that forms a core component of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It has become an integral part of our practice at The Malone Collective as it helps balance hormone levels, increases blood flow throughout the body, modulates the nervous system, regulates the brain’s neurotransmitters, and more.
The practice involves the insertion of very thin needles through the skin along the meridians in the body through which “qi” flows, known as “acupoints.” By stimulating these points, acupuncture aims to balance the body’s energy and stimulate healing.
Benefits of acupuncture:
Ease of digestion
Enhanced fertility
Improved sleep/alleviation of insomnia
Improved mental clarity
Increased energy-levels
Relieves chronic pain & stress like migraines and regular sources of tension
Supports the immune system
What to expect:
During the first acupuncture session, our practitioner will assess the client’s condition and create a treatment plan tailored to their specific needs, in communication with their wider-care team.
The sessions typically last between 45-60 minutes, during which the acupuncturist will insert needles at strategic “acupoints” on the body (many patients report feeling minimal discomfort). The needles are usually retained between 5-30 minutes, resulting in a feeling of energy or relaxation.
